It kinda bugged me that being a werewolf had no real downsides - the rested XP bonus was barely anything.
It encouraged every player to become a werewolf, which made it feel less special.

Advantages:

Alucard is a heavily skilled arcanist and so he makes the most of his vampire abilities to barter souls for mystic power. Other vampires just drink blood for personal ability or use ghouls limiting how threatening and capable they can be.
Alucard manages to kill most of the physically powerful vampires because they just throw themselves at him while he throws summons that take damage in his stead.

I've never been sure of how I feel about them in that series, they seem to combine an equal mix of classic traits that I enjoy and modern ones that I can't stand.
