>mfw I watched this movie after the new episode of Muppets tonight and see this while scrolling the catalog

feels freaky

Movin' right along in search of good times and good news,
With good friends you can't lose,
This could become a habit!
Opportunity knocks once let's reach out and grab it (yeah!),
Together we'll nab it,
We'll hitchhike, bus or yellow cab it!
(Cab it?)

Movin' right along.
Footloose and fancy-free.
Getting there is half the fun; come share it with me.
Moving right along (doog-a-doon doog-a-doon).
We'll learn to share the load.
We don't need a map to keep this show on the road.

(Hey, that song is sounding better Fozzie.)

Movin' right along,
We've found a life on the highway.
And your way is my way,
So trust my navigation.

California here we come, the pie-in-the-sky-land.
Palm trees, and warm sand.
Though sadly we just left Rhode Island.
(We did what?!)
(Just forget it.)

Movin' right along (doog-a-doon doog-a-doon).
Hey LA, where've you gone?
Send someone to fetch us, were in Sasketchewan!

Movin' right along (doog-a-doon doog-a-doon).
You take it, you know best.
Hey, I've never seen the sun come up in the West?

Movin' right along.
We're truly birds of a feather,
We're in this together and we know where we're going.
Movie stars with flashy cars and life with the top down.
We're storming the big town,
(Yeah, Storm is right should it be snowing?)
(Uh, no I don't think so...)

Movin' right along,
Do I see signs of men?
Yeah, "welcome" on the same post that says "come back again."
Moving right along, nice town!
Footloose and fancy-free,
You're ready for the big time...
Is it ready for me?

God dammit, anon.

That's like interrupting a joke to give away the punchline.

The fork in the road was my favorite gag as a kid.

My favorite line though has always been "Are you ready for the big time? / Is it ready for me?"

I love the muppets so much, fozzie is my favourite character because I can sympathize with his constant abject failure.
>>
I think it's bizarre that the 2011 muppets movie was quite good and nothing they've done since was very good, I can only assume it's because of jason segal, it didn't feel like henson muppets but the 2011 movie did feel like it was made from a fan perspective of somebody with a tragic love for the muppets, you could feel the love.

the songs were great too.

The 2011 Muppets movie is okay. The characters are weak and that would be fine if the movie was more of a comedy, but it ends up as mostly schmaltzy fanfiction.

Saying goodbye, going away, seems like goodbye is such a hard thing to say.

The recent TV show is pretty good.
>>
>>77405295
The big bird cameo did it for me
>Hey, wanna lift?
>Oh, no thanks, I'm heading to New York City to try to get into public television.
>>
>>77409586
Pretty much this.
>>
The Muppet Movie was the best 70's road movie.
>>
Is anyone still watching the new show? I thought this week's episode was nice.
>>
>>77409393
The sequel was pretty good, too. I love how in the first five minutes of it they slam on all the faults in the predecessor.
>"Man thank goodness we got rid of those stupid human characters"
>>
>>77412121
I keep meaning to Sky+ it, but I keep forgetting.
>>
>>77409193
(And everybody knows that the sequel's never quite as good)
>>
>>77412169
Together Again Again was pretty good. Then the whole thing went to shit.
>>
>>77412121
>gonzo believing in scooter
>rowlf as a wise grizzled man
>rainbow connection
>LEARN A NEW SONG!
Top five favorite material
>>
>>77409393
The two recent movies had fucking great songs.
Of course, they had Bret from Flight of the Conchords on board, so there's no way they could've screwed up.

I'm checking in and out on it.
I think it's getting better. It feels like it's getting more muppety episode by episode. More focus on the relationship between the different characters too.

The last one had me in tears I laughed so hard
