The multiverse was culled of unused and dying worlds, like Ultimate and loads of what ifs and worlds made exclusively for the event, but there is still a multiverse. Spider-Gwen's book is still set on Earth 65 and Web Warriors has a team of Spiders visiting worlds that were left without a Spider Totem after Spider-verse.
Characters who are now on 616 after Secret Wars destroyed their home universes are refugees, their backstories haven't been altered.
