Yeah. It's honestly one of the better video game based cartoons. Which isn't saying much, but at least the show doesn't try to shove "deep" messages or moral values down the viewers throat and the character designs were at least semi-faithful.

The lion men episode is definitely the most infamous one, but there were others that were just as cringeworthy, in my opinion. He certainly was the most interesting to fight with just the pea shooter. He actively chases you down, and will actually try to punish you for abusing obvious openings in his approach. Jump over him while he's sliding, and he'll try to jump into you. Slide below him when he jumps, and he'll try to slide into you as soon as he lands. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

It was a fun show. Design and premise were decently faithful, good animation, funny shit happened nonstop, and some occasional really cool action sequences.
Same as the Legend of Zelda TV show.
It was wasn't 100% SUPER FAITHFUL JAPANESE ANIME ADAPTATION so it became a meme for hardcore neckbeards to hate them for being slightly different back in the day.

Also, from the Gigamix, I'm keeping the MM5 Robot Masters as the Hourly Pay Squad (maybe with a different name, but I'd keep the goofy sentai thing.) And Star Man would remain as fabulous as fuck.

The original six Light Numbers would get just as much screen time as Rock. They wouldn't just be his sometimes support team. I'd make it a team show, and each one would get the occasional episode devoted to them. Maybe I'd even do episodes where Rock doesn't show up at all.
And I'd try to use Dr Cossack and Dive Man as much as humanly possible.

Not very. I'd probably skip MM1. The Light Numbers never get reprogrammed, and jump right into helping Mega Man fight the Second Numbers. I'd retell MM3 more or less faithfully, but the next four games have kinda crap stories, so I dunno, I'd introduce the characters in the right order, but find something different to do with them.
