Can you guys come up with new Teen Titans villains and storylines that don't involve:

Trigon
Deathstroke
Trigon is COMING
The Judas Contract

Because as the JL vs. TT movie showed us, these are like the only arcs and baddies that tend to cycle.

Do I have to use the Wolfman lineup? Cause I liked the 90s lineup and storyline.

If it helps, go ahead.

>Can you guys come up with new Teen Titans villains and storylines that don't involve

Query; do I have to come up with storylines that utilize the decompressed as fuck modern storytelling method where they use half a year's worth of issues to tell what is actually maybe 25 pages of actual story and plot tops like most comics writers do? And can I pick who is on the Titans team with a promise absolute ZERO editorial interference beyond ensuring my spelling is correct and my continuity is good?

Because if the answer is yes and no to those, then no, I can't.

If the answer is no and yes, then sure, I easily could do that.
Just takes some decent familiarity with the DCU. Might use Deathstroke on rare occasion, but hardly the way Batman uses the Joker, and I focus on the thirty bajillion other villains and characters DC isn't doing shit with so they can pump out only their biggest-name heroes.

Would it sell well?
That's another thing entirely. Probably not, knowing the modern market.

>The Jocks

>A gang of highschool athletes who, due to over competitive spirit, think they can do better than normal gangs and super villains. Using better team coordination than your random street gang for instance and being in better physical shape.

>It starts out as "harmless" fun aka vandalizing homes and terrorizing random people, but they get addicted to seeing what they can get away with. Their numbers grow and so do their crimes. Soon they're running drugs and weapons to all schools and gangs in the area. Not to mention how they have a cult following, you're either with them and you're cool or you're a snitch and a loser.

>It's up to a group of teens themselves to put down this threat.

Simple.

Shouldn't Teen Titans deal with teenager issues?
>>

>Shouldn't Teen Titans deal with teenager issues?
Depends entirely on the kind of comic you want, doesn't it?
>>
Starfire nevergot a proper "arc"

Does she have any meaningful villian besides her sister?
>>
>>81431933
>Starfire nevergot a proper "arc"
Yes she did. Read the comics.
Arguably she got more character development then anyone aside from Dick, though ALL of the original NTT managed to develop emotionally as characters over the run.
>Does she have any meaningful villian besides her sister?
The Citadel, but they were linked with Blackfire. It wasn't a bad arc either and arguably one of the longest and most consequential ones in the entire run.

Are you one of those guys who only watched the show and thought Blackfire just showed up one day then they fought and left and that was all their was to it?
>>
Don't be ridiculous. There's also Mister Twister!
>>
Mr. Nobody and the Brotherhood of Dada attach a tracker to Garth to follow him back to home base, completely unaware he is no longer a part of the DP

Once they realise the mistake, they roll with it anyway.
>>
>>81432129
i think those guys were too cool for nowadays cartoons
>>
>>81431588
Didnt deathstroke stop being a TT villain at this point
>>
>tfw no animated Blackfire arc where she buffs the fuck up like Frieza did except she harnesses her strength, comes back to earth to fuck with everything while the Titans deal with isolated villan events caused by her leading to a final confrontation with her vs every single titan at their best. She is either redeemed after Starfire finally breaks thru to her or broken and defeated

What if there's a floating skull? Like, not a giant floating skull, but a normal-sized one. The skull can't do much on his own, but he can grant small wishes in exchange for being able to later call in a favor that the person is magically obligated to carry out. His schtick is that he runs a crazy pyramid scheme of getting people with super powers to terrorize each other into making impulsive requests so that he can later use them to get more manpower.

There. I made up a new arch-nemesis for the Teen Titans. He's way cooler than Trigon.

Can he speak in non-rhyming tetrameter?

A villainous alien named Traqwon Martono is terrorizing a neighborhood in Florida. Robin organizes a strike to stop him but after they take him down the government arrests them and puts them on trial with the president insisting that Traqwon din't do nuffin. While on trial they discover a massive plot by the president, replaced by an alien of the same race as Traqwon, to cause riots and disorder all over America.

Doctor Light takes on a female protege that fights the Teen Titian's off and on all season and with every failure to beat them she gets punished off screen by a grinning Dr.Light. With every failure she gets more and more unstable from Light's punishment with each new plot being more lethal and dangerous to the city. Eventually she has a big off screen dearth explosion from a failed plan crying "I'm free" as she meets her flashing fiery death.

The Titans take on the rogue Superman robot from "Graduation Day," salvaged by H.I.V.E. and accidentally rewired with the discarded circuitry from the Imperiex Probe that Darkseid gutted to make the Aegis Armor, in order to break the Titans Curse that's afflicted them since Donna Troy and Omen's murders.

A guy starts forming a militia that's trained in expert firearms use and takes down villains by killing them with single shots from sniper rifles. He also harbours a grudge against the titans/superheroes in general for constantly destroying the city and taking down villains for show rather than using lethal force to permanently neutralize the threat.

morals and fighting styles collide, with the teen titans now feeling useless they decide to take on the militia.

Hank Hall as Monarch and the The Team Titans: Time Travel sleeper agents who exist to eliminate all threats to preventing the Monarch future from happening.

The Titans of Myth and Thia/Children of the Sun in particular.

Brotherhood of Evil, who SHOULD be the Titans main nemesis group not the Fearsome Five

Cartoon Gizmo as a goofy comedy villain

Wildebeast/Wildebeast Society (IE HIVE in a new fancy beast suit)

>Beast Boy freaks the fuck out that the Brotherhood of Dada is coming
>the other Titans are incredulous as to the level of threat this group of no-names poses

I'd watch it.

He sort of became "frenemies" with them for awhile; he helped them out now and then but hindered them too.
He also had his own comic and fought with or against pretty much every other superhero during that period, and his mercenary profession means he could technically be ANYONE'S villain at any time.

The closest thing Slade had to a nemesis was Nightwing, whom he sort of had this weirdly avauncular attitude towards. Even when he became more frequently used as a villain rather then a quasi-hero he often acted like Dick and him were old friends rather then two people who had been fighting off and on for years.

Beast Boy is tricked into eating meat by Cyborg. Shenanigans ensue. I'm the writer who makes the filler for Season 6.

Villains:

>Mary Contrary: Mentally ill girl who forms obsessive attachments towards others and patterns herself as their antithesis.

>Auto-de-fe: Telepath who can only read thoughts that are intentionally suppressed.

>Jacob de Sainte: Century Baby whose body and mind reconfigure itself so that he's always the most capable person in his vicinity.

Do you want more Raven mind-raping? Because that's how you get more Raven mind-raping.

If we want comics then:
Titans led by Dick vs Outsiders led by Bruce. Political target is corrupt and Bruce decides to get his black ops team together to kidnap and force a confession out of him, Dick is like "Stop being fucking crazy Bruce" and tries to stop his team with his own team.

(because someone needs to make the new Wally cool) Wally West see's a future version of himself appear and die at his feet screaming to get the Titans to stop Grayson so he quickly tries to make his own Titans out of people he can find. Ends up that the Grayson he was talking about was negative universe Grayson from the "everyone is evil" universe and he has to defeat him (who has taken the mantle of Batman in his universe) with his mishmash of wannabe heroes.

All the Robins are starting to get picked off one by one so Duke Thomas (the only non "robin" robin thus the guy who isn't getting targeted) requests help from the Titans to defend the greatest teen sidekicks of them all.

The Sleeping God is about to awaken from his sleep below the ocean tides and the only one to escape the cursed spell of dreams that goes across the seas is Aqualad. Due to the fact that he's been underwater for years he tries to find the only people he knows landside. The sidekicks.

If we wanna go animation then:

Damien and John Kent star a new Teen Titans but end up going against the mysterious Red Hood and his own gang of villains.

Damien's first encounter with the Joker is while he's with the Titans. Story writes itself.

>Messiah
A hermit with the ability to give other's super powers, he controls an entire cult of homeless teens and children that were given their powers by Messiah and they will do pretty much anything for the person who took them in, kept them fed and clothed and gave them incredible abilities.

>Shadow
Is the leader of the Sinister Six, a team of young supervillains that were given their powers by Messiah and bind to his every command. Shadow has Shadow Manipulation on the levels of Gecko Moria's

>Cannibal
She has incredibly sharp teeth from birth which she was heavily teased for by her peers which caused her to develop an eating and weight issue and for her to drop out of high school, Messiah gave her an bite strong enough to bite through steel, an expanding mouth, stomach and accelerated digestion.

>Ghoul
A scrawny, hood rat who got beat up by his own gang and was swooped away by Messiah, he was given the ability to transform into a giant, reptilian creature similar to Killer Croc with enhanced strength & durability to boot

>Exterminator
Was abandoned by her parents and grew up in an orphanage that she stayed in long after it has been abandoned, she was given the ability to become a cockroach hivemind that can control hundreds of thousands of cockroaches

>Blob
Was a very intelligent individual with straight As in school but ran away to avoid his strict, overbearing and borderline abusive parents. He was transformed into a giant humanoid blob of pink slime that gives in invulnerability, shapeshifting and regeneration

>Horror Show
A heavily deformed teenager that frew up in a circus and was paraded around for others to laugh and be disgusted by his appearance, he was rescued from this by members of Messiah's cult. The power that Messiah gave him is that his face is now so horrific that nobody (not even Raven) can look at it without experiencing intense fear, sickness and even fits of insanity and seizures. His face is hidden under a clown mask.

Realestate magnate and wealthy business man wants to buy Titans Tower because it's in the shape of a T. Using his influence and power he gets them evicted and he moves in. The titans, now homeless, fight to get their house back.

-Titans Rock: Gemworld is struck by a powerful cataclysm, and Amethyst is used by some of the darker houses to fuel an escape portal to Earth. Not wanting to challenge the numerous mystical defenders on the planet yet, they instead infiltrate, resulting in the only leads arising from teenagers around the country. Their age leads most to discount their claims, except the Titans. Kole is rebooted as a reluctant ally to Amethyst, valued for her ability to spin the different crystals of Gemworld. In the end, the Titans discover that Gemworld was ravaged from previous allies of Amethyst's own house, wanting to usurp rule from someone too young/raised differently, keeping the themes of teenage alienation/'grown ups are sellouts".

-Titans Tomorrow: The team sets itself up in the role missing since the JSA vanished - mentors to the next age of heroes. Red Robin, Wonder Girl, Superboy, Beast Boy, and Raven step up to lead, and hunt for newly emerging metahumans. Unfortunately, their age and perception as sidekicks leads to many parties objecting, including the Justice League, Argus, the city they set up headquarters in, and an underground organization that looks for new metas as well. (Not a repeat of Harvest/N.O.W.H.E.R.E. This organization is more straightforward - it's not part of any grand schemes, or hosting any giant colonies. It's just good old human trafficking, finding metas for specialized purposes or experimentation, and shipping them off.) The veteran Titans take on all opposition, ultimately leading to rescuing their new recruits from a life of slavery.
>>
>>81435453

-Titans Forever: A research facility's explosion reveals a half-dead Bart Allen - one who has no memory of the team, but reacts violently to the mention of 'Titans'. This Bart has been kept in stasis for decades - well before the emergence of the current meta population. Investigation leads to the discovery of another group calling themselves the Titans - formed a quarter century ago. The older Titans were part of a previous emergence of metas that were feared by the governments of the era. Operating in secret, they had aspired to be their time's Justice League or Legion, but were instead hunted ruthlessly. Bart was the youngest and most powerful of their number, and was part of a schism in the group. One side wished to go public, to convince the world they weren't a threat, while the other desired to remain secret. In the end, those that wished to remain hidden put Bart in stasis, and killed most of the other side, driving the remainder away. As the Titans piece together the group's past history, they come under repeated attack from some of the old Titans, who are embittered at how easily the new team has been accepted, still desire to avoid detection, or simply hate the idea of metas after their lives were ruined. (This would put a band-aid on the 'Bart Torr' concept, have good old 'young vs. old' conflict, and puts a unique spin on the 'Titans fight their future selves' storyline that's ALSO been rehashed forever.)
