I've been thinking, what if Darwin and Gumball idolize Mr. Robinson so much because he's an actual stable father figure? I mean, Richard is pretty much an inattentive fat fuck that does nothing but eat, sleep and fuck Nicole, while Mr. Robinson while anger-prone has an air of dignity around him, has kept his shit together even after everything he has gone through with the Wattersons and to a lesser degree his son, and overall gives the impression of a guy that knew his way around life.

its all the talkbacks in general. cartoon network has done a supremely shitty job of advertising as of late (on tv and in real life). even worse was that I noticed Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Uncle Grandpa (all had Halloween specials airing outside of Thursday) failed to even crack a 0.2 in the ratings on Tuesday or Wednesday respectively, in fact, none of these shows (given they are CN's bread and butter) didn't even make the 'Top 100' in cable ratings. its disappointing in terms of the new CN president and how awesome Stu Snyder was looking back

oh yeah good point I forgot about that. Dish Network couldn't reach an agreement in the US for advertising so they shut off Cartoon Network for people who have Dish Network (e.g. its a blank screen or something that says the channel is offline) and the subscribers take the hit. however, Dish Network is pretty small in terms of people who have 'subscription access' to watch channels like Cartoon Network. theres more people with cable company subscriptions than people with the dish. its just really fucking bad advertising on CN's part. that "catchphrase" ad campaign was so fucking bad and its crazy to see them STILL doing it!
oh and I noticed they didn't have the "countdown" clock for the halloween specials at all for AT, RS, UG which was very strange too
