I don't know why, but I really like the "Darwin is a jerk" episodes. Maybe it's because he's usually so adorable it hurts, when he beaks out of that it's refreshing. Also, he's rarely a jerk just to be a jerk like Gumball, but as a way of expressing his feelings of inadequacy. Little guy's got some buried inferiority complexes due to starting off as the family pet, and he acts so damn nice all the time like he's trying to constantly win everyone's affection.

Season two sacrificed some animation but had better episodes, also it shows the experience of the crew growing.
