Funimation has, however, mediated co-productions between Japanese studios and Western IPs. And now they're starting to to jump onto anime production committees themselves (pic related).
Come to think of it, there is certainly enough connective tissue between Fullscreen/RT and Funimation at this point that RT could quite easily approach people in the anime industry to create sort of spin-off... Then again, Warner Japan would probably handle that.

If in V4 we have shit about Lancaster from the get go, then yeah it'd be completely retarded. But in terms of actual relationships that could happen, it's the only one I see that could actually be well written and built up to naturally. Right now Jaune and Ruby are on very equal footing in terms of where they are as characters, and them growing as people over time together could be really good.
It'd take a LOT of care though. We need to spend at least another two volumes building up to best friends before even a hint of romance is implied.

I'd honestly prefer if Weiss' development was opposite of Winter.
While, yes, it's great how Winter ran away but made a name for herself, I'd like Weiss to take the family name by the balls and whip it into her own.

Well I assume if her wanting to pursue a new career wasn't the key reason she ended her relationship, she kinda would've had to leave either way, because it would've been really weird to stay and work at RT full time.
Honestly, if she had talent to try writing stuff for RT or having more of an involvement with the other acting talent as choreography or some bullcrap, she could've transitioned into a proper position at RT in the live action department or something. Then deciding that seeing so little of Miles was a dealbreaker, they could've just ended the relationship on great terms & just worked at the same company in different departments.
