It was well-animated, but if you're looking for a coherent "plot" or some grand overarching statement, you'll be disappointed.

It's more of a character study than anything, but if you know someone like the main character, or perhaps recognize him in yourself, you'll realize just how realistic the ending is.

Michael is presented by the movie as a sensitive, tortured soul who you're supposed to sympathize with, but he spends the entire movie doing nothing but hurting women. It's pretty poignant, if you recognize it.

The uncanny valley looks quite strong in this one.

I'm still interested though, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind is one of my favourite movies of all time.

That's literally exactly what I said though. Characters take precedence over plot in this movie. I didn't state that as a negative point at all.
