Celestials don't care whose babies are in charge, only that evolution progresses. Apocalyse is a servant of the Celestials, and as shown in Extraordinary X-Men, in the future mutants are declared a failed species, and Apocalypse will kill any mutant that comes around.

I like that Bendis-speak started as a revolution against the stilted, formal dialogue of traditional comic book writing, and has become every bit as stilted and formal as the kind of dialogue it was rebelling against.
I guess that's true of a lot of comic book dialogue. Stan Lee's style was new and clever once.
