Not much happened, seems the episodic stories are still good but winding down, this season finale was probably more of a focus around this time, but I liked some of the jokes, but you have to admit Pops suffering through that much during 11 minutes was pretty sad

I love all these characters to an extent, even Muscle Man has his moments.
CJ was cool, but suffered from being brought it on her debut episode as a misunderstanding, fighting, and leaving segment.
Margaret is a nice person (or bird, fuck this humanoid labeling, it's confusing) and there's only ever a few instances where she's not, and it's usually through romance episodes.
Every character has a way to be likable, even Rigbone.

I loved the letter from Muscle Man's dad, that was heartwarming. I liked sympathetic scenes with Rigby, among some other things. It's alright except for that one specific moment.

I have this thought that the beginning of the finale will probably start off peaceful, for that whole "storyline contrast" thing, where we see everyone having fun doing their thing before something bad happens.
I can see Mordecai and Rigby at the Coffee Shop, and the other characters elsewhere, sometime into the episode their beepers go off and they have to go back to the house, that's the start of the plot.

Couldn't fit it in the OP, but I'm so shocked he answered my question. He made me feel more comfortable with coming to terms with it, but man, I'm still not sure...
I love the show a lot, I like it's style, the vibes, everything (minus a few select scenes) it has to offer. It's got something unique and charming.
It's hard to give up something like this, I know everyone ends up doing it with a cartoon they like, but it's been like 6 years, guys. It's safe to say in a way I've grown up with it.

I'm still worried the Season 8 format might be too different, but as long as the characters are who they are now, it shouldn't be anything bad, really. I like seeing these guys in different situations. Something much bigger than anything that has ever happened to them before sounds promising, just hope we don't loose another character, or one gets left behind or whatever (unless they still got a part in the story)
I suppose the biggest reason I'm uncertain is because it's being told by CN, Press Releases, Interviews of JG, and Owen that it is a big change.
For Exit 9B, we had a "The Park will never be the same" promo and tagline, and the thing we got at the end was Thomas, that was it. I feel like with everyone connected to the show highlighting it recently means it's a bigger deal than it seems.

It would take turning into something else all together with the characters not even being the same for me to give up on the series without question. I don't think I've ever "dropped" it, but over a course of about half a year I only caught the premiere of episodes (or waited for an upload by Madrid) without doing too much rewatching.
It's got something special about it, but as long as they keep the charm through the change, that's what I'm wanting.
I was curious how these characters would act in a big overarching story, guess it's happening.
Maybe some time /co/ will give it another chance as a decent show, it used to be one of the main ones talked about around it's first few years, the romance and loosing thomas was the tip off. If they stick with the romance-calm stories with Mordecai staying single (or if he does get a date, it go like how Rigby's is) then that's one major issue down.
That said, I was just thinking about Skips' Story, if it was a big deal, I could imagine them having an episode like that for Fives. I think they could get away with a flash or something right before it shows him die or whatnot since they could just go back to Fives talking, since he's still alive.. but dead. Though he's probably just a ghost entity from the start, even though I like to think there's a story there. That would be insanely worth watching though.

At least with that Margaret episode we already knew what her job was and all the characters in her life, but we still don't know much of anything about CJ's life outside of hanging out with the others, so you'd have to introduce all of that in one 11-minute segment that would have nothing to do with the rest of the show.

To be fair that was a early episode, I'm not sure it was originally set in the middle of the street, but more or less was given as an actual huge park you'd visit somewhere down the road, not next to apartments and businesses and stuff. It does look funny now though.

I'm certain with the whole space story for the dome people, the favorite planet episode will be connected through that.
Pam I Am might be kinda disappointing though, she'll either actually like Benson, and possibly forced through the Dome orders to break up with him, or simply just use him to study and not actually like him. Benson's had it rough for the past bunch of seasons, I just hope it doesn't set him up too bad.
Lame Lockdown sounds kinda like the whole "if the beeper beeps" thing from The Button, but I was sure they were saving that for the finale, or the episode before.

I liked what they ended up doing with him. His gimmick was funny at first, even if everyone on /co/ was super butthurt about it, but it had run its course and The Real Thomas was a great episode that let him go out on a high note.
Who would quit their job first, Mordecai/Rigby or Fives/Muscle Man? Fives and Rigby just follow the taller in the group, so I made it a 2 on 2
I liked Thomas before they made him a spy because he was a dorky kid who just wanted to be one of the guys. I'm still not happy about The Real Thomas but I understand they did it because he wasn't easy to write for.
