With the disappointing referendum result in Britain I've been thinking of visiting a polski sklep before they disappear.

What are some good things to try that I should be able to get at a polski sklep?

I'm going to try find some pierogi I think. Is one thing.

Boooooooy

I don't even understand how this has happened. Do Brits not enjoy the hell out of ethnic cuisine? Why wouldn't you want the smell of Arab and Asian food everywhere at all times?
>>

What the *hell* does the referendum have to do with local Polish diners? Britain is just leaving the EU, not building a Sea Wall. It won't even happen for another 3 years and now England can dictate it's own trade policy.

>Why wouldn't you want the smell of Arab and Asian food everywhere at all times?
because then you have to smell Arab and Asian people too

Because Polish people who are here on because of freedom of movement will likely have to leave when we leave the EU as they won't have that freedom of movement any more.

They'll have to apply for visas to stay after leaving and after living long enough for full citizenship.

Also, this thread is for food, not politics.

You fags don't understand
They wouldn't be able to open a restaurant without a visa/business approval or citizenship.

Ethic food isn't going anywhere.

If you think anyone is going to open a new business or that small businesses are going to survive the incoming economic turmoil and the clusterfuck is means for untangling our laws from the EU, you're very sorely mistaken.

Even if they could stay, their little hole in the wall shops are not going to survive.

Why not? National sovereignty doesn't mean the food service industry will stop entering new foods into the market

The local Chinese and indian restaurants don't have a problem surviving. Some of them even have a special room upstairs where their imported worker must stay and have their salary deducted automatically. Not joking. A couple of my local restaurants were raided by police. It is probably the same for places staffed with EU workers, like in Greece where they get to live in a shack by the side of the farm. Something to think about. The UK was becoming a bottom of the barrel place where people live a hand to mouth existence. Not all of that is down to the EU, but you know when people get pissed enough they just want to see the place burn.

Btw - the polish version of gingerbread is good. I think they have a plum (alcohol too?) and cinnamon jam inside and are coated in chocolate (piernick I think). Paczki donuts are pretty good. One of my favourites is their cheesecake, especially the ones with crumble. They're better imo because they use curd cheese instead of cream cheese (which isn't a genuine cheese anyway because it's a cream).

Ahhh nothing like a /pol/ thread with tbe facade of a /ck/ ethnic foods thread. Are you the same OP making those polish food threads with the raw onion, uncooked sasauge, and ketchup/mayo bread on various boards?
>>
