What's /ck/'s favorite kind of hot dog?

For me, nothing beats a good ol' 'go 'og.
>>
>>7817048
the kind they have at burger king.
>>
>>7817055
Are those really any good.
>>
>>7817057
I don't know I never actually tried one.
>>
Chicago dog

either that or just a simple ketchup, mustard and siracha
>>
Nathan's is the only good hot dog on the planet.
>>
>>7817071
No it's ballpark
>>
>>7817048
Looks awful. Especially that green shit.

Give me a dog with mustard and sauerkraut. Maybe cooked onion too.
>>
I made two hot dogs earlier. One had horseradish mustard and chow chow, the other one has harissa and anchovies. I liked them. Thank you for reading this.
>>
>>7817110
thanks, I enjoyed reading this
>>
>>7817074
I mean at the actual Nathan's location
>>
>>7817048

Those onions looked cooked. Traditional Chicago dogs have raw onion.

Also, it should be two thick tomato wedges, not lots of thin slices like that.

kek

I've never tasted relish, but I like pickles on my hot dogs. Is relish just like thick pickle sauce?
>>
>>7817159

Relish is almost always made from sweet pickles and is always cooked.

It has a pickle flavor but is not the same as taking a bite out of one.
>>
>>7817153
Pretty funny they bitch about ketchup but put on tomatoes and pickles.
>>
>>7817166
I've never seen a relish that is neon green like that alien spunk in the OP

any other answer is wrong

Spicy bratwurst on a quality bun with coarse mustard

maybe a little sauerkraut on there too

ketchupfags out
>>
>>7817173

Chicago relish has food dye in it to give it that neon color, there's nothing special about it.
>>
>>7817178
It makes the relish look like garbage. They should stop doing that.
>>
>>7817176
ketchup is delicious sometimes >>7817174
but yeah I prefer saurkraut and hot mustard
>>
>>7817183

It's traditional ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Making' my mouth water, oh shit I'm drooling
>>
>>7817169
...and that god-awful radioactive green relish, and sesame seeds, and raw onion. Why even bother with the hotdog?
>>
>>7817166
>sweet pickles

Alright, yeah... fuck that.
>>
>>7817186
>It's traditional to make your food look unnatural through food coloring.

America, everyone.

>>7817224
Don't think that the rest of the country is as retarded as chigaco.
>>
>>7817227
some places are more, some less. chicago's right in the middle, geographically and culturally.
>>
>>7817048
Local place makes great dogs. what >>7817176 says, best shit
>>
>>7817071
Pink's has some pretty solid dogs if you're in the mood for a 3000 kcal meal. Went there when I was in Vegas last time, figured why the fuck not.

Was bretty gud.

I'll eat a Coney any day of the week.
>>

Is that the Steak & Shake hotdog?
I get that sometimes
>>
I live in Texas so I don't know about hot dogs unless I buy them and the buns from HEB in a plastic package and heat them on a grill, either charcoal or propane

We put mustard on them and eat them like that. Maybe with relish? I dunno we just buy whatever looks grillable

What do I do?
>>
>>7818229
you are spot on. That's the best way to eat a hot dog.

Can't stand boiled or pan fried.
>>
>>7818229
>Texas
>not using propane

Taste the meat, not the heat.
>>
>>7818248
you stupid memer. He said he used both.
>>
I like a fully dressed chicago dog.
Dont really eat them often

I like Usingers, Moo and Oink, AppleGates
For cheap dogs I just get Ballpark regulars.

I like coneys, I like grilled onion and spicy mustard, ketchup/yellow mustard/raw onion and or relish, tomato yellow mustard and dill relish. etc etc.
Hot dogs are great.
>>
>>7818247
Boiling is fine when you are dousing it in condiments.
Though charcoal grilling is the best. I hate pan fried, will boil them every single time.
