The three are named after degrees on the hardness scale of a human erection: Cucumber, Banana and Tofu. Cucumber and Banana share characters and stories between them, with two or more story arcs occurring concurrently in each programme. Like, while protagonist characters in Banana are dealing with their stories, they're relegated to background characters in Cucumber and their story arcs are only hinted at. And vice-versa.
Cucumber is the "grown up" drama. It deals with a recently split, early middle-age gay couple, midlife crises and themes of rejection, finding home/acceptance and self-disgust.
Banana is the teen/young adult variant, dealing with similar themes as Cucumber as well as others more pertinent to younger people.
Tofu is a docuseries in which the actors of Cucumber/Banana as well as regular people all discuss love, sex, sexuality and shit like that.
The fourth, Screwdriver, was a one-off short. In it, the sister of the protagonist in Cucumber opines about how disgusted she is with sex's easy accessibility today. She discusses a pornographic video she heard kids snickering about that involved a somewhat creative use for a screwdriver.
