What is the most sea-like scotch? Looking for strong tastes of iodine, seaweed, salt, and similar. From what I've tried so far Laphroaig seems to be the winner for me, but maybe I missed something? Also not sure if I should go for 10 or older like 18 or 25? Which one would have more defined sea-like taste?

I've tried many highlands, they all seemed bitter and not interesting to me. I tried older as well, yes they have interesting quality about them, some coffee, some wood, so fruits, but I'm still not impressed.

I've tried many things, not only scotch, and I understand how different casks change the drink and increase its complexity, but I just don't really like it. Yes sweet, yes sherry, yes some fruits etc, not interesting. I like when the taste is unusual, the one you won't pick in everyday food and drinks. Strong and unusual. Islay scotches are a revelation for me.

Easy - Longrow. It's smoked but I believe they use coal instead of peat, and it is not produced at Islay.

He's talking about the iodine flavour mostly found in peaty scotches. Some people recall medicine when they taste it, other people recall seaweed. Some people don't like it, some people do. Sounds like you probably don't.
Anything I'd suggest has already been suggested.
I haven't had that many legit Scotches, but Talisker 10 has a distinct sea salt flavor, on top of being all around delicious. maybe the longer-aged version is more pronounced. Much more noticeable than the other 3-4 good Scotches I've had.

Talisker puts "made by the sea" line on their bottles, also they put them in cardboxes with sea printed on them, and they have bottlings named "Storm" in their range. So they definitely try to focus on marine theme.

I suggest Bowmore 15. It's an islay, but it isn't an overpowering peat monster. I find it has just the right amount of briny sea flavor and a hint of earthy peat.
