Friend of mine ordered this at a burger joint awhile back.

I don't get it. Is it really that much healthier without the bun? Why not just have a regular burger and a salad?

What's the world coming to?

Is this really something new to you?

Fucking Subway was doing this 20 years ago, long before the bread is bad fad diet made a comeback.

>Why not just have a regular burger and a salad?

because carbs..

how would they serve the "sandwich" in a bowl like a salad? or wrapped in the lettuce?
>>

Well since the bun was most likely going to be made from refined flour which is a simple carb that breaks down into sugar very quickly then yes it's healthier.

It's no bun, but the burger in a lettuce wrap isn't bad at all. Much better than the time I wrapped a cheeseburger in nori
>>

looks healthier to me
huge pieces of tomatoes, cucumbers, and a shit ton of lettuce.

an actual burger would have an 8th of that.

The real question is why is OP so booty blasted at people making smarter eating decisions?

>LE CARBZZZZ

Bet you fags don't even realize how common carbs are.
>>
>>7755983
Not all carbs are the same.

How bad is bread for you? I know it is a bit fatty but is it really that bad? I'm seriously asking this because bread is something special.
>>
>>7755927
It's not normal. People being different make the world uncomfortable for those of us who live in it properly.

Lots of ketofags + meme gluten allergy = your pic.

I don't know what the world is coming to, but I sure as hell don't like it.

bread in itself is not bad. Very heavily processed bread is unhealthy, you should try to eat bread where the flour is as unprocessed as possible (i.e. definitely no white bread)
>>
>>7757478
ketofag here, and I do it for health reasons myself. I missed it for a while, but more power to those that can eat it and not have issues.

White bread, like Wonder bread or common burger buns are pretty bad. It's almost cake. Cheapie tier "whole wheat" bread is a little better, but not much. It's not usually truly whole grain flour. Real whole grain flour bread like from a bakery that has no preservatives (shelf life of under a week) is the best option healthwise. The fiber from the bran and germ is left in true whole grain flour which slows absorption, and won't spike blood sugar as much, but it also goes bad quicker. So industry doesn't like it because everything is so large-scale industrialized and long-distance shipping oriented. This is a great system for making money, but a really bad one for making great bread and keeping a healthy population.
