Ever since I started cooking for myself I haven't added refined sugar to anything. Infact I haven't even purchased a bag of sugar. I haven't drunk a soda in probably 5 or 6 years.

no, infact I have the opposite issue with sugar, though i still eat some occasionally, normally I only ever add it when I am low on food.
I get my sweet fix with aspartame. i avoid actual sugar like the plague. I want to keep my teeth!

Yeah, but all pasta and bread (including whole) don't really make for a meal unless you add further calories in some kind of sauce or topping. All bread and pasta allready has fucktons of calories and since I can only have one large meal a day it pretty much comes down to:

I've managed to mostly give up salt. I never add it to anything or cook with it, it's just that I sometimes get trace amounts of it in things like tomato puree or passata. Your tastebuds really do change, just like they did with sugar.

This is retarded. Do you think that before modern society there were cavemen grunting at eachother to pass the salt grinder? There's natural sodium in almost everything and our requirements are very low.
