Chicken bouillon granules are basically just chicken flavored salt.

Sear some chicken (legs preferably, they'll stand up to a long simmer and get tender) then deglaze the pot with unsalted stock if you can't make your own.

What KIND of sick is she? Cabbage soup is good if she has a cold or anything involving mucus. But if she's sick and feeble, something a little more hardy like Lentil Soup or Potato Soup might be better for her.
My mom always made us Potato Soup when we were sick, using chicken broth as the base, and adding some cream at the end, and it always made me feel tons better.
