For example, pasteurised and bottled lime juice. You could not tell that it's lime juice. It tastes like gasoline. Never witnessed anyone using that.

Yeah I agree about the bottled lemon and lime juice.
You can't substitute them for fresh because they taste nothing alike, and I have no idea what else people could be using them for.

The bottled lemon is juice is somewhat ok when no fresh lime/lemon is around let's say for chilli or something like that.
Tried to make a mojito once with bottled lime juice(long story why), if you are interested in a taste:

>add liquid detergent (go with green colour for the effect)
>add rum to taste
>hit your head into the wall
>drink
never again
If you go to an arab store, they would have 4/5 kinds of different bottled lime juice. Mindboggling
