I don't know m8, but I really enjoyed the few times I've had German food. Went to some fancy Italian place recently and it made me realize why I stopped eating Italian. It had all these cheeses, tomatoes, etc. And it still tasted just like most other Italian food I've had. Just safe and boring.
Also helps that German food isn't pretentious.

I'm British, and although I like a lot of our food, Germany is absolutely the best. A real vegetarian's nightmare for the mostpart too, but some truly amazing food.

(Excuse any oudated spellings, this how these are spelled in my Oma's handwritten cookbook)
I grew up eating things like Koingsberger Klopse, Currywurst, my Oma's Wurstkloesse (with wine sauce), Rouladen, Kassler Rippenspeer, Sauerbraten, Spareribs with Sauerkraut, Rotkohl, Gruenkohl, Gurkensalat (both vinegar and sour cream based), Steckruben mit Sahne (my Opa's favorite vegetable, and he grew literally an entire field of them), Kartoffelsalat (hot), Suesser Reis, Weinerschnitzel, Jagerschitnzel, Rahmschnitzel, homemade brotchen, homemade noodles, and of course strudel, appfelkuchen, nusstorte, etc. I could list more, but meh...
I miss all that food, since I'm an adult now, and my older family is nearly died out, so I have to cook all those things for myself now, but at least I have my own family to appreciate it.
This thread has made me hungry. Fuck, it's still like, 6 hours till I can go home and make dinner.
