Theres a place near me that serves the ice cream of your choice in a churro bowl with dulce de leche sauce, toasted almonds, and chocolate sauce. I usually get it with their Mexican mocha ice cream, which tastes exactly like youd think.
Brettty good
I highly enjoy consuming pineapple sundaes. There is something about the flavor that I find highly nostalgic. I wish I could explain more.

here is a bit of trivia. Nobody really knows why sundaes are called sundaes, its belived to be some sorth of play on the word sunday, some people even claim that sundaes were originally called something else entirely and only served on sundays but then decided to serve htem all week long and so they changed the name

Is there such thing as a bad sundae
A neapolitan banana split.
Chocolate sauce on the strawberry ice cream.
Caramel sauce on the vanilla ice cream.
Crushed pineapple on the chocolate ice cream.

just plain soft serve, half chocolate half vanilla.
putting sugary syrup toppings just makes it way too sweet, and any other toppings like nuts usually ruin the smooth creamy texture.
an exception is smooth natural peanut butter with no added sugar on chocolate ice cream. the saltiness tastes good with the ice cream too.
Might be a regional thing? But Pecan Mudslide all the way.
It's a cup of vanilla with hot fudge, hot caramel, and pecan crumbles.
My other favorite is a dish of twist icecream with crunch-coat (praline peanuts and sprinkles)
