HELP ME I'VE BEEN TOLD I HAVE TO COOK THIS PORK RIB THING AND I'VE NEVER DONE SO IN MY LIFE
I've been told to make a Memphis dry rub but everything wants msg and I don't know what that is a picture of my spices following
Please don't say melon or orange slices or coffee

Do you have a gun to your head? Are you ok anon?
As for the spices in >>7571319 use the paprika, garllic powder, onion powder, cayenne, oregano, salt and black pepper. Mix together and literally rub on the meat. You can add some brown sugar to it if you would like as well.
Not an authentic memphis rub but it would do nicely

If it's your first time, I'd actually suggest not to combine your own spices. Go to a grocery store and find a premade rib-rub that you can use.
My favorite is Famous Daves rib rub or Wee Willie's rub (its more local tho).
This way, you can get an idea of how a rub should taste in general.

No but my cooker woman has an appointment and I haven't cooked anything in a decade
Also I have ground cumin whatever that is

Don't think cumin is in many memphis rubs, it has a really strong flavor and could throw it off. Personally I am not a fan of it

There's noting wrong with msg according to every study done on it.
Stop shitting your pants and just buy some rub from the store and follow the instructions on the pack.
Alright I hope I didn't mess up too bad.

Shit I put a whole tablespoon in the rub
>>7571434
too much spice imo
crust will taste like noodle's powder spices

Shit.
I had such a short time frame so I couldn't go buy anything. I have to fast after dinner (bloodwork tomorrow) so I have to have dinner as soon as this is done.
People know I don't know how to cook so it's not my fault

next time remember: the longer it cooks, the more spicy it will be, so you need to adjust acoordingly
ribs take a while to cook
