Anything that uses white rice.

But be careful with this stuff, OP. Don't eat it too much or the fiber will drain your nutrients.

It's good with peanut butter but if you want a tasty proportion you can't really have that much of either unfortunately, unless you feel comfortable eating 60g fat at once

Blanquette, bouguignon beef or daube.
French saucy dishes in general.

>throw in trash
>buy white rice

brown rice is shit and takes way to much effort to make taste decent.

black rice has a really nice texture and tastes much better but its more expensive.

I make it the same way I make white rice, just 20 minutes longer. It always comes out good.

flavor is to strong. don't want brown rice to be a dominate flavor of my finished meal.

Your meals must be really fucking boring if their falvor is overpowered by brown rice.

How did you fuck that sentence up so bad. Make a pilaf or stir fry with brown rice. It tastes fine. Absorbs plenty of flavor.
>>
I like to pour the "gravy" from whatever meat I cook over it. Or I like to slow cook a bunch of veggies, think tomato, onion, garlic, spinach, and use it as a "sauce." Delish, and nutrish.
>>
You can make decent faux paella with it.

Can of Chili on top of rice.
Fry egg and vegetables then add rice to it.
Rice plus meat plus thick sauce.

This. Try it with a curry, stir fry, chilli con carne, or whatever. I prefer brown rice, it's got a nice nutty flavour. And it's better for you.

you know I would love a japanese style curry served over or alongside brown rice.

Not a big fan of indian curry, gotta have that savory.

Brown rice, celery, chives, carrot, onion, garlic.

Slice all veg thin or dice small, throw all except the chive together in hot pan with sesame or other vegetable oil on high heat. fry for 10 minutes stirring occasionally, then add soem soy sauce to taste (I dont use much) and fry another 5 minutes.

Then make a little hole in the middle of the rice pie to put an egg in, drop that in on top of some more oil and fry it up, then chop it and stir it in.

Then hit it with a small splash of rice wine or red wine vinegar, then another 30 seconds and plate it. Top with the chives.

Can add pork, ham, chicken breast, sausage, lots of different meat options to meat it up, treat them like a veg basically.

God tier shit there and i dont care if its with brown rice. Staple food, healthy, nutritious, quick to make, cheap.

I personally fry it up with mixed veg and chicken.

I don't know if anybody else does this, but I fry my diced chicken in a seperate small pan, highest heat with some oil, and leave it in there, occasionally shaking it to ensure it hasn't stuck to the pan. It starts to boil in its own juices, and it never seems to be dry.

This is an older pic though, only my second or third time cooking it. It's a lot better now. I can't get enough of it.

Wondering if I should get a rice cooker.

Put some generic curry powder in at the end before adding scrambled egg and it gives it a nice aromatic kick
>>

I should try adding scrambled egg in. I tried doing the whole egg fried rice thing, but it tasted pretty crap. I probably did it wrong desu.

Either way, at the moment, it comes up to about 600-630 calories, although I haven't factored in the soy sauce.

It's not a bad meal.
