Can someone explain the difference between soul food and southern food pls?
Soul food has specifically black connotations.
Southern food encompasses all regional food from the South.
Buy a bag of M&M's. Take one M&M out. That's the difference.

southern white cooks

we have no soul i rectum
Southern food is just food from the south
Soul food is weird shit that black people had to make edible because they couldn't afford anything else in the south. Shit like pigs feet, ears and fried tripe.
They are basically the same except Soul Food is doubling up on pork fat, salt, , butter, spices and/or oil.

soul food is southern food eaten by blacks

One is made by fat black people who think that their race gives them special cooking powers with certain ingredients, the other is made by fat white people who hate vegetables and think that having ancestors who owned slaves makes them ethnic enough to cook well.

Not necessarily. Soul Food has god tier stews and fried shit, yeah, but Southern Food generally contains awesome gravies, flaky biscuits, roasts, whole hogs, slow barbecue cooking, and generally amazing, indulgent food inspired by English cooking with a focus on fresher ingredients, since the South had prime agricultural land when England was at its most crowded and polluted.

To be fair the fat white people actually go for quality whereas the fat black people use the cheapest and shittiest ingredients available because muh heritage
Collard greens are literally more nutritious than kale.
