I worked at Wendy's in HS (2005-2006, was 16 and17) and me and most of my similarly-aged friends were as good as most of the mid-to-better adult workers. I know this is anecdotal evidence and only one storefront, but, I'd be surprised if this wasn't common. With a job like that, it'd seem like it's less about age, as there's not much skill and a lot of people there because they like drugs and don't want a background check.
