This meme is stupid. Midwest is not different than the east coast, the big city areas have lots of good food (Detroit, Chicago, NYC) and then the rest is more bumpkiny. There are parts of New York that are basically Canada.
I'd assume it's the same on the West coast but the only thing I know that's good there is Mexican food to begin with, and Southern cuisine is just generally good

When I was younger my grandma would make this thing called mash (mosh?). As far as I can remember, she pretty much just used flour and ground beef. It turned into this goopy stew-like substance. It looked like a pot full of cum with small chunks of shit floating in it, but it smelled and tasted good. I should probably ask her how she makes it one of these days.
My entire life my father doesn't mix the spaghetti and sauce together in the pan. He just says he doesn't like it like that. I never questioned it until I lived with a friend who thought it was weird that I did that. But now that I think about it he always mixes the chili into the mac.
He did something similar with pizza. If he made a frozen pizza, he'd cut it into eight slices. Whenever he ordered pizza he'd cut each slice in half when he brought it home so there would be sixteen. He cuts the bacon in half before he fries it too.
So what is flyover food supposed to be? Because chili mac is fucking great.

A lot of good greasy Cheap processed meats from poor immigrants. My favorite is Goeta a scrapple like oat and pork blended sasuage fried up for breakfast. Only place ive seen in is Cincinatti and Northern Kentucky.
