Be honest, have you ever use the Potato Button on a Microwave before?
I don't use -any- of those fucking buttons. Only thing I press are numbers to set a time, and the start button.
>>7517077
Just once. My food came out all retarded.
>>7517084
middle kek
yeah I did, it actually cooked it properly
but I never feel like eating "just" a potato, so it goes unused
Why do they even include all these buttons when everyone is told not to use them and nobody ever enters a time value that doesn't end in 5 or 0?
I press +30s more than anything else, really.
>>7517077
Never used a microwave in my adult life. When I was a kid there was no potato button that I remember.
>>7517084
teehee
>>7517214
Where the fuck do you live?
I don't even own a microwave anymore. But when I did they came out way worse in the microwave. Sure the oven takes a god damn hour but they come out so much better.
Never had a problem with the potato button on our last microwave. Don't eat baked potatoes much anymore so never really got an opportunity to try it out on our current one; I always cook them on the grill alongside burgers/steaks/whatever nowadays anyway.
Microwave baked potatoes were a staple of my youth. Don't think I've had one since moving out.
I only ever use the popcorn button.
>>7517077
yes. honestly.
>>7517197
I only press dubs or trips to save time. I could be doing better things with my life like shitposting.
i haven't owned a microwave in like a year
it's amazing how much people rely on them... i never knew i didn't need one until i didn't have one.
Microwave potatoes are much better if you wrap them in foil first.

Most microwaves don't do that fun stuff anymore. So sad, I know.
>>7517077
Yes.
The difference between a microwaved sweet potato, and a steamed sweet potato, is almost non existent.
My microwave oven's "start" button stopped working about a year ago. Nowadays I just press any of those "specific food" buttons. Same shit.

Only button you need
>>7517077
I put 3-4 potatoes in the microwave for 10min and then finish in the oven at 400°F for 30mins
Crispy skins, soft on the inside. Especially Yukon Golds.
>>7519828
what happens when you bake time
>>7519878
dude weed lmao
The Reheat button on my microwave works really well, but potatoes go in the oven.
>>7520865
What doesn't go well in an oven?
I had my microwave for more than a dozen years. It wasn't until six months ago I decided to give it a whirl. Now I toss my potatoes in there before baking in the oven. My baking time went from 1.5 hours down to 15-20 minutes. The difference in quality? Zero.

In the US. But I have lived in city apartments my entire adult life. So for me a microwave hasn't ever been worth the counter space it takes up. If I'm cooking I have no use for it, and if I'm not cooking I'm going out.
>>7522116
Well, the microwave bomb the inside of the potato and the oven crisp the outside of it.
>>7519828
>>7522116
Damn, all that wasted orange
>>7522116
I don't have a potato button but how long do you microwave it?
All in favor of replacing the patato button with a hotdog button?
>>7522116
>needing a knife to peel an orange
>that technique
What faggotry is this?
>>7522116
>The difference in quality? Zero.
I doubt that. Are you getting nice crispy skin in the microwave?
>>7522154
I assume he gets it in the oven?
>>7522147
>nuking hotdogs
Gas yourself
>>7522165
Let me guess, you're that one dad that boils them then drinks the broth in a glass.
>>7522169
I haven't tried that, sounds dank
>>7522104
microwave popcorn
I don't use potato, but I use the bread button all the time.
My microwave has all this stuff on it, I don't know how to work it.
I don't even think I have preset buttons on my microwave. The only things that ever get pressed are add 30 seconds, stop, and the open door button.
>>7523041
Snack bar..
Does your microwave praise allah?
>>7523049
It's a Samsung so it probably does.
