at any rate I went through menopause at 29 due to surgery. tried soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk etc. soy milk tasted ok but gave me acne, pms-like mood swings, and a yeast infection that literally wouldn't stop no matter what I took for it and was only temporarily abated by Rx diflucan. all of it went away after quitting soy milk. almond milk and other vegan "milks" just taste so fucking foul I couldn't get used to them.
so I will probably continue to drink milk as well as eat cheese, kale etc. and take calcium. and if I'm wrong, well I guess I'm wrong. honestly I was expecting to get osteoporosis by 50ish no matter what since I can't take HRT and likely won't be able to take fosamax either due to my stomach. but I am 40 and haven't broken any bones yet afaik.
