Would you?
>>7507318
Yeah, I saw that shit on Bizarre Foods and he said it tasted close enough. Way better for you than white flour.
i would try it
>>7507321
What would you make with it?
>>7507325
i dunno
i was kinda replying as if someone were handing me something made from cricket flour
I ate a live cricket once.
Some one punched me in the side of the head once
I'd sooner go vegan.
>>7507343
Why not? I'm sure regular flour has a few bits of cricket and other bugs in it anyway
>>7507318
Sure. It's apparently packed with nutrients and in powder form doesn't look anything like a creepy crawler.
>>7507318
Does it have any of the properties of wheat flour? The protein isn't gluten and I doubt it has any starch, so I can't imagine using it for anything that I'd use flour for. They should call it something else.
>>7507336
Anytime someone punches me in the head, I hulk out and lose memory of what happened.
>>7507493
Can't imagine it's any better than almond four. It's also 4x more expensive.
>>7507325
pancakes
>>7507325
Apparently, it's better than most commercial protein powder. So you can make shakes.
>>7507318
>tfw you hear your cake go cri cri cri in the oven
>>7507318
Yeah but the price is unrealistic until it is actually commercial
You might lose some brain cells:

i had a cricket taco once
was good
It's cricket protein powder. Calling it "flour" is misleading as hell.
>>7507318
we developed a society so we wouldn't have to eat bugs.
>>7510832
We then drove that society into the ground so hard that there's not enough water or land to farm any animal except bugs
>>7507318
If it's very cheap compared to the alternative then yes.
ayyy lmao
do they just taste like another proton based substance?
>>7511251
>proton
I don't know why I laughed.
>>7507318
No I wouldn't use cricket flour unless it was very cheap but even then it's questionable.
It's actually a "protein powder" and should be compared to other protein powders with respect to nutrition and price. Here is a comparison:
. Cricket flour seems to come in at more than $10/lb and it has 70% protein of which only 20% are the essential amino acids.
. Whey concentrate protein powder as an example it costs around $4/lb when bought in bulk. It has 80% protein of which 40% are the essential amino acids.
