I did a few months of bar work and got quiet good at it

the hours are shite, you stay up late and can never go out drinking yourself
but it's easy to find work, and it's interesting

you'l learn on the job, but if you want to get into it learn a bit about wine pairing, learn your spirits (at least be able to recognize the bottles)

you'l need to be able to work on your feet, often shifts run to 9 or 11 hours and you have to be able to work your life around that
