The Filet-o-fish is an exercise in human futility and condenses misery with apathy into the only bun in the place that is steamed with a giant fish-finger (aka fish-sticks) that sit in a heated tray from the first fried batch of the day and never gets replaced because they don't sell enough on an average day to bother with it. Then you have the shitty cheese which as you mentioned is never placed in the center correctly and usually turns orange since it just sits out all day, I like to think that the cheese is never centered as an abstract expression of the employee contemplating their existence when they are forced to make one of these culinary abominations. This results in a topping sauce that has the same texture, flavor and consistency of /r9k/'s jizz sock.
One time at work a moth went into the filet-o-fish fryer and we just fished it out and didn't bother changing the oil. The only time you MIGHT get a fresh fried filet patty thing is during lent but otherwise I'd rather eat farts out of a dog's asshole.
