i was always told you need to use over-ripe bananas. the more brown and black the banana, the better.
not true. i've used really fresh bananas for bread before. my banana bread was great.

>Oatmeal
>Banana
>Egg
>Milk
>Pinch of cinnamon

i miss seeing you buy snacks and banan every day
regertfully yours, anon ymous
>>7388798
>banana/oatmea
how do you cook this? Sounds fucking good
>>7388833
Well, starter /fit/ here, so it's not hard
>measure 100g of oatmeal
>crack one large egg
>smash one banana in there
>half teaspoon of cinnamon
>100ml fresh milk
>bit of oil/butter/lard
>in the oven on baking sheet for 20 minutes at 230c
>split in half and let cool for a few minutes and eat
If you go higher temp, the crust can get crunchy, while the inside stays soft. You can also sprinkle brown sugar ontop before baking for a little extra crunch and sweetness.
I'm pretty sure you can just blow this up to loaf volume, but I like it freshly baked, so I just make one each morning.
This is my sweet version of this recipe. I alternate several different version so that I don't get bored.
I fucking hate eating oatmeal in a bowl with fruit and stuff, I find it disgusting, so one day I just sat down, calculated my macros and tried baking some oatmeal with egg, oil, salt and water and it turned out fantastic.
>>7388848
No, I meant that he only wrote
>who banana bread here
instead of
>who /banana bread/ here
As most people do when saying
>who /insert topic/ here
>>7386690
Banana here. Who bread?
>>7386742
Banana bread should be pure. Get your chocolate heresy out of here.
If you're not putting walnuts in your banana bread mix you're doing it wrong.
>>7389889
I dislike walnuts.
I put chopped dates rolled in oat flour in mine. And strawberry slices, because strawberry banana bread.
over ripe banana perfect for banana bread
>>7386690
Isn't it more like a pastry than bread, since banana is sweet?
>>7390225
Not even close. It should be full on black before it's ready for banana bread.
>>7390228
STOP THAT!
>>7390228
Breads can be sweet without being considered a pastry.
>>7390228
It's a quickbread.
>>7390228
it's a quick bread, so basically a loaf cake. I wouldn't call it pastry
>>7388848
>I thought that was standard for banana bread? There's people that don't do that?
The directions on boxed mix never include them, so that must be why. It's probably against some FDA regulation to suggest customers add "expired" fruit to their recipes.
Another thing I like to do is add brown sugar crumble topping with chopped almond.
Banana bread P gud, OP
I like banana bread
Yeah, banana bread
when life gives you lemons, make lemon bread
didn't have poppy seeds to add but did have some chia seeds to give a visual contrast and a bit of fiber
