How do you enjoy fucking up your otherwise totally normal snack? Doesn't have to be something established as traditional/regional.

My kids tease me for the various things I eat in a peanut butter sandwich.

Dill pickles. My older siblings taught me this one, I ate more peanut butter sandwiches with hamburger slices than jelly growing up.

Crunchy Cheetos. Think about those little cheese crackers filled with peanut butter you ate on road trips as a kid, it's like those but better.

Pomegranate seeds. Tastes like a pb&j but no annoyingly sweet like most jellies, and when the pomegranate seeds pop as you eat the sandwich you get juice bursts which is a cool textural twist.

Peanuts. I like crunchy peanut butter, the rest of the family likes creamy. Got sick of having multiple open jars in the house so now I just add some lightly salted peanuts to my peanut butter sandwiches and we only buy creamy.

You mean a Red Eye, beaner. Good point though, that one is a pretty well established cocktail.

I have been doing the peanut butter sandwich + chips / Cheetos thing forever. Don't know how it got started. Personal favorites are Flamin' Hot Crunchy Cheetos or Snyders of Berlin Bar.B.Q chips. I also prefer crunchy peanut butter.

Normally I prefer whole wheat or multigrain, but with these combos I like the really soft texture of plain white bread.

I did that when I lived in dorms and the meal plan got us access to a buffet just a couple minutes away. Just with vanilla ice cream. I'd always get something like that or an apple, because they'd never stop you from taking food with you if it could fit in one hand and looked like you were still eating, but, rushing to a class.

That might be the most Georgian/Baptist thing I've ever heard of.

Peanuts in coke is big in the south. They need to be lightly salted or salted though. My dad used to do it because he thought he was hilarious and that it freaked us out.... We just humored him and pretended we were aghast. It's actually pretty good.

>>Coke with peanuts
I think this originated in the 60s, back when there were no cup holders in cars, and bottles were in, and stick shift driving needed 2 hands on the wheel, so you parked that bottle between the thighs. The flavor is kind of reminiscent of cinnamon nuts, not crazytime.

Beer with tomato juice is just another version of a shandy. Low alcohol refresher for warmer climes, been around for 200 years.>>7383205
>Not just tomato juice, but clam broth and tomato juice, Clamato.
Clamato, and beefamato both were soupy flavored cocktail drink mixes, thought to be "healthy" and hearty, but they serve to add umami now that we know better. Around the time of their popularity, marmite and other beer nutrition was a thing too.

Only truly weird quirk I've seen is my friend that puts jalapeno juice on movie theatre popcorn. I like root beer with pizza. It's related to high school days when you're order a pitcher of something that was free with the large pizza, and not being old enough to drink. Root beer and pepperoni simply go together now. I suppose pineapple on pizza was once considered strange.

If you dip your salty fries in a chocolate shake, the contrasts end up being pretty tasty.

though there's a place here that does a little guiness in their bloody marys (along with vodka) and that nixes the sweet pretty nicely

anyway the carbonation of the beer also contributes, it's great shit
