Why do food advertisers think this looks good?
In reality when cheese does this you have to awkwardly gnash at the cheese cord for a few clumsy bites until you hit some voodoo magic sweet spot that allows you to continue eating as normal. It's bullshit and annoying, just like the commercials and still graphics that feature it.

Because good mozzarella is stringy and stretchy when hot. If you've ever had cold or merely warm pizza you'd know that you don't run into this issue. Advertisers know that consumers associate the stringy melted cheese with hot, fresh pizza. That is why advertisers think this looks good.
I love stretchy cheese, it tastes better when it gets stretched out
that's not bullshit either, it has more surface area so it can impart more flavor than if it was all wadded up
