When I make tuna salad, I use a hard boiled egg in it because my dad does and always did it that way. I've never seen it in tuna salad before. Is that weird?
BTW this is a sourdough tuna melt with sharp cheddar cheese

Yes.
Tuna, mayo, avocado, red onion, small dill pickles, black pepper and paprika is how I usually make it
All the store-bought tuna salad here has hard-boiled eggs in it, so I figure that's what's most popular and what people expect. I'm in Europe.
No.

The secret to tuna salad...
salmon skin
My uncle would pit tuna salad on one side of white bread and egg salad on the other side and fold. I never tried it though. I might someday. Or what you do

Chicken salad is superior.
My tuna salad consists of diced boiled eggs, pickles, pearl onions, corn, white & red kidney beans, green peas, mayonnaise, diced red bell pepper, tuna and sometimes olives. I want to try switching mayo to homemade 1000 Islands sauce.
t. an European

If i dont have hard boiled eggs then i just eat the tuna out of the can. Its the deciding factor.

Are you making tuna salad or chili? Wait, what do europorns refer to as chili again? Breakfast?

Pearl onions are not regular onions, anon. They're small and somewhat sweet.
Have you never eaten red kidney beans? They're tasty in salads...
Also, red bell pepper is sweet and adds to the taste. Nothing spicy.
I don't get your point.
Well, i add eggs too but here (Italy) we add pearl onions and sometimes even pickles, it tastes good and if you like I add ketchup too
