yelp is such a crock of shit. it needs to be a rating system of stars for categories, service, speed, taste, etc out of five fucking stars. no write ups, no pics of anything other than food. its not a restaurant reviewing app anymore fucking people have turned it into an extension of their face book. I have seen countless reviews with some lady posting pictures of herself (not the food ordered of the establishment in queston) with a fucking write up about their personal shit and their life fucking story. IT RUINS THE FUCKING APP. seriously yelp is ripe to be fucking dethroned like myspace was. simple food / restaurant rating app, pics of anything other than food / establishment auto ban, write about something other than the food or establishment auto ban, im sick of this shit.
>I avoid all Yelp / Pinterest links in search results
I look at the most highly rated one star and five star review on yelp and make a decision based on that in most cases if I try a new place.

I've noticed this trend too, people using Yelp to be attention whores and post pics of themselves and their friends.
It really pisses me off, actually, because when I moved across the country for work 5 years ago, Yelp was absolutely crucial for me to use to find places to eat, shop, and many other services. It WAS a really good thing, but as usual, the general population has ruined it, like they ruin everything else.
