it's a pan. stop posting.
>>
>>7346500

They're both pans. The shape isn't the distinguishing feature, it's the handle. If it has a handle like OP or >>7346500 then it's a pan.

Pots don't have a stick-type handle.
>>
>>7346492
OP posted a pot
>>
>>7346500
Pots have two small handles on opposite sides.
>>
Pots usually have two small handles located on opposite sides of the pot. Pans, on the other hand, tend to have just one long handle.

None of my pots have handles of either sort.

The only pan you'll ever need
>>
>>7346543
What the fuck ...
No. Just no.
No way in hell that would be useful ever. Different heat for everything cooked.
Try scrambling that many eggs in that tiny spot. Cooking more than one egg at a time? Forget it.
Like Jesus Christ, that's as terrible invention. Just use more than one skillet/pan/pot/whatever.

It's a bread pan.

"A Tin" is a box or can made of tin.

Yes, it's a pan for sauces.

>Pronouncing it as "sawspan"

according to a random internet post: if the height of the pan is more than 1/3 of the radius of the bottom, it's a pot

>rest of the world

Literally no one on the face of the earth says "bread tin" for bread pan.
Bread tins were tin boxes in which bread was packaged and sold, or else a tin breadbox for keeping bread from going stale or getting eaten by mice.

>>7346560

No, anon, you are wrong. That is pain.

>Why do people call these pans? It's just confusing.

One handle. Pan. Two handles. Pot.
>>
>>7347504

It's the type of handle, not the number.
>>
>>7346489
Most people say "saucepan" unless there is absolutely no risk of confusion with a frying pan in the context.
>>
>>7346489
it's a "sauce pan" to some
but i call it a pot cuz im smart
>>
I call deep ones pots and shallow ones (frying/saute) pans.

Really though, it doesn't matter.

I call it a pot and I'm from Canada.

wew that was hard
>>
>>7347671
How come saucepan is one word but frying pan is two words?
>>
>>7347683
Because suffixes are awkward when placed in the middle of compound words.
