Steak.
Flip it once or flip it multiple times?

Either way works fine.
from the studies done on the matter, flipping multiple times does ultimately result in a juicier product because its continuously being redistributed instead of having a chance to pool from gravity. however its not as though flipping once will ruin your steak or anything.
its actually much more important to not sear your meat until AFTER it has been cooked, searing it before hand doesn't "seal in the juices" that isnt how meat works you stupid classically trained french fucks!!!
it actually causes a more rapid loss of moisture because it shocks the meat instead of bringing it to temp slowly.
so we have learned, flip often, sear at the end
You're actually supposed to flip it multiple times according to seriouseats.
i flip it once, and my steaks turn out fine. i usually rotate it to get some nice diamond grill marks, then flip it after that.

old school as fuck
the right way is the only way anon
with steak i don't think it matters
searing chicken or beef (say a roast or meatballs) i'll flip a few times, searing lamb or fish i'll only flip once

This is true, but my grill is very small and only has one temperature zone, so I have to sear before.
I only rotate once because I'm too lazy to stand by the grill.
