What the fuck is wrong with sponges? Has everyone gone retarded?
>>
>>7279596
They've gone autistic.
So yeah.

sponges are highly effective. be sure to wring out your sponge after every use.

If you notice your sponge is getting grimy or you have used it multiple times just thoroughly wet the sponge and pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes. It kills most microbes and your sponge comes out clean and happy ready for more scrubbing
>>
I think op be trollan
>>
what do you use then?
>>
OP probably uses wet naps
>>
>LITERALLY eating shit

Sponges have the highest concentration of bacteria and fecal coliforms in an average household. Use a brush or scrub pad.

These two together are the greatest kitchen cleaning accessories in history and that's an end on it. The greatest.

That's not steel wool, that's a stainless steel scrubber.
Really, any well stocked kitchen should have all of these:
Sponges
Steel wool
Bottle brush or other plastic bristled brush with a long handle
Stainless steel scrubber
Microfiber cloths

They all have purposes that the others don't fill. And it's not expensive to stock all those. Use the right tools for the right jobs.

does chainmail work well for cast iron?
>>
>>7279657
yes it works, but is maximum autism. I use steel wool on mine and it doesn't damage the patina. Just don't scrub the fuck out of it, if stuff is baked on, fill it with hot water and let it simmer on the stove for 20 minutes or so, that will soften up anything. Chainmail is noisy as fuck.
>>
>>7279657
I guess you could use chainmail.
>>
>>7279653
sponges are for cleaning cars. there is absolutely no need for a sponge in the kitchen.

Found the autist.

Remember to fill your sink up with hot water and plenty of soap, then let the dishes soak a few minutes. This has made a bigger difference than any abrasive cleaning tool used in cold water or with bad soap.

Found the crack smoker. I still buy it over steel wool to this day because of brand loyalty even though I quit years ago.
