What is your go to liquor?
I'm looking to get a bottle of gin. Does anybody have any good suggestions?
>>7263267
Just get Tanqueray. Don't get Tanqueray Ten. If you want to be cheap, Taaka makes a respectable bottom-shelf gin.
>>7263267
>Does anybody have any good suggestions?
I suggest suicide. It's a better idea than you think
>>7263282
If only every person on earth did this, everything would be fine.
Plymouth, Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire.
Whichever one of them is cheaper.
seagram's
>>7263282
Wait why haven't you tried it yet?
>>7263267
I used to have a glass of Cointreau after a meal. It makes for a nice digestif. But now, I'm on a diet...
>>7263267
All kinds of gin available anon. Go wild.
Personally I'm into Spiced Rum these days, fun to drink.
>>7263267
In my teenage years I had an unhealthy fixation on bombay sapphire, or go gordon's if you're properly strapped for cash
>>7263267
If you got money get hendricks
but bombay is also solid choice
Not sure if its stocked where you are but henderson is also pretty good
Boodles is a wonderfully unappreciated gin.
>>7265346
I'm also quite fond of Linnie Aquavit.
>>7265348
My favourite thing to drink neat is Campari
>>7263267
Top 3 gin power ranking
>The Botanist
>Monkey 47
>Professor Cornelius Ampleforth Bathtub Gin
Not in any particular order.
>>7263267

>Touhou Dry Zun Gin
Wow, please take my money!
>>7265413
>tabasco bottle
>>7263267
A nice bottle of armagnac for a sip, and maybe some Iichiko mugi shochu + cold water for a real drink.
Tanqueray London Dry.
>>7263302
Gonna have to second the Seagram's. Not sure what gin I first had, but I've been stuck on this one for a couple years, and I like it.
>seagrams
For some reason, I can't trust a company that produces more than one type of alcoholic beverage that isn't a byproduct of one of their products.
Drinking this is like drinking a excellent espresso:
Your ordinary buzz gets enhanced by how intense flavour
bourbon.
When i buy gin, i get whatever is cheapest with no regard for quality.
seconding Boodles, has a nice coriander taste
bombay and tanqueray are good too

>forgets picture after lovingly describing drinking it
I swear though the shit is the best sipping vod I've tasted. Pity it's £40+ per bottle

My SO and I used to drink their rum on occasion a few years back, when I was still a wee underage drinker. It wasn't bad at all, if I recall, but this was only a year or so after I stopped drinking McCormick products, so idk how good my judgement is on that end.
Still, I like their gin alright, and the bottles have a cool texture. Not sure what other gins I've had, if any. On the rare occasion I go to a bar, I order gin sodas, but never specify a brand or top shelf, well, etc., so I have no idea what else I've had. Is pricier gin really worth it? I like the look of Bombay, but I always just drink gin (or occasionally vodka) and whatever flavor of La Croix I'm feeling, so not sure if it really matters.
Hope I'm not intruding on your thread, OPee.

Only had GG once, but I liked it quite a lot. The bottle is p cute, to boot.
>>7263322
there's like 200 calories in a shot of triple sec, i don't blame you
>>7263267
hendricks if you don't mind dropping ~30-40/fifth
sapphire if you're looking for something in the 20s
new amsterdam if you want decent gin for like fuckin 13 dollars
the great thing about gin is that it's not nearly as costly to produce quality shit as bourbon and scotch are

>A nice bottle of armagnac
Hey, /ck/. What constitutes a nice bottle of armagnac? I know about Courvoisier and Hennessy and Remy Martin, but there isn't really "that" brand for armagnacs.
Any cheap but good brand out there for this stuff?
>>7265947
That's a lot of calories for a shot of liquor.
>>7263267
best gin coming through
better than bombay, bombay sapphire, tanq, beefeater, plymouth, gordons, hendricks, and seagrams
At what price point and what brand does baijiu start tasting good?
>>7266919
I got some from a local distiller in wuhan for 30 us that was really good. I wouldn't bother with it in the US imported, too much if it tastes like ass for too much.
No substitute.
What's a good whisky (bourbon) for a beginner?
I've had JD shots at clubs, but I'm after something to sip at home.
My dad used to drink pic related. I don't know what it tastes like though. My first gin was Seagram's and it was like a pine tree exploded in my mouth or I huffed Pinesol.
>>7267255
Buffalo Trace

Which Wuhan distiller was it?
>>7267255

Bombay Sapphire East.
It's everything good about Sapphire with more herbs.

BEEF EATER nuff said.

If I want to sip something, I gotta go with El Dorado 12 Year. For mixing I keep Evan Williams white label around. Lots you can do with it. As for gin, Booker's is a good cost effective option, and Tanq 10 is good if you're looking to spend some money.

Campari is fucking amazing, although personally I prefer it in a Negroni, which is the best cocktail of all time. Not only is it delicious, but it also provides priceless expressions from people trying it for the first time.
>Meet brother's girlfriend for first time at other brother's apartment
>Brought makings for negronis, because fuck yeah
>She sees bright red pretty drink in a martini glass
>"That looks tasty, what is it?"
>"It's called a negroni. It's absolutely delicious."
>"Let me try!"
>She to this day claims I tried to kill her with it.
>Friend of mine also loves negronis
>Orders one at a bar
>Guy who came with him laughs
>"What kind of girly drink is that?"
>Bartender leans in
>"It's a drink that'll put hair on your chest!"

Bombay east is good for a mid tier gin. Anyone else here make bloody ginnys? (Bloody mary with gin instead of vodka, if you didn't put that together)
>Tequila is the best though, any other liquor cannot compare.
Wild Turkey or Maker's Mark
