Just found an MRE I've had for 6+ years. I opened it and it smells good. Is it still safe to eat?
Pic related, it's new england style clam chowder.
Here's the box
yes it's fine
I've eaten one from the gulf war around 2005 and didn't get sick

Yes, quit being a huge faggot.

If any food on the planet was going to be safe after 6 years, it would be either a twinkie or an MRE.

>MRE
>going bad

Twinkies only have a shelf life of about a month, they actually age quite rapidly.

In college a Vietnam vet brought in an mre from nam. He opened it an we all tried some. It was very dry but nobody got sick

They used MCI's in vietnam you anal astronaut
>Implying macaroni and beef in sauce isn't the best mre
i watch MRE tasting videos for fun [dont judge me] and yes, its still okay to eat evena fter that long. HOWEVER u need to be certain there isnt a break at all in the packaging. also im 1000 percent certain it would taste better if you used the flameless ration heater to heat it up bc they taste eww unheated.

That's not how you spell sloppy joe

>Is it still safe to eat?
Maybe not for an american because if there's one thing what tv has taught me is that yanks are especially suspectible to get sick and shit their pants constantly over mundane stuff.

>they actually age quite rapidly.
>days go by faster for twinkies
>>7254791
I'm sure that was implied.
Meaning that he ate a 14 year old MRE in 2005
>>7251777
looks like new england style pub crawl aftermath bus station vomit
>>7251777
You're good to go. Hell, I ate Vietnam era LRP rations back in 1989. 20 years old and they were good as new.

>tv has taught me is that yanks are especially suspectible to get sick and shit their pants constantly over mundane stuff.
I think this is actually a Jewish meme, since they run all forms of media.
Jews have notoriously weak immune and digestive systems, so they assume everyone else does too.
>>7251777
Did you eat it op?
>>7251786
>120 calories
I thought the purpose of MREs was to be heavy and nutritious as fuck?
>>7255414
There are about 1,600-2,000+ calories in each meal.
>>7255115
It's mostly that they tend to be hypochondriacs. Shrinks are popular with Jews for the same reason. There seems to be something in them that drives them to seek pity.
when sandy happened these were getting handed out at the park, I regret not getting my share
