What's the absolute best way to enjoy coffee?
For me it's a triple Americano. What does /ck/ think?
Freshly roasted beans
Burr grinder
French press
Brewing coffee that comes from neither a can or plastic container and NOT using a drip machine.

I have a burr grinder, I still can't tell any difference in flavor between it and my blade grinder.
>buy the best beans you can (most expensive =/= best, organic is a good sign, one source etc.)
>light/medium roast (the darker the roast the less caffine)
>french press
>ceramic burr grind
>black

how do you brew it?
>>7239636
Around 79-82 degrees C
Aeropress.
Black with sugar, the grounds in the cup, fight me.

ew paper filter
the oils are what make coffee good!

Grind size? Steep time? That water is not hot enough. That's what you'd use for green tea. Your shit must be sour
>>7239677
I have a metal filter too, bit couldn't taste a difference with that either.

>size
Um, small? Not powder-ish, but like sand?
>steep time
1-1:30
>not hot enough
I've found it to be a decent temp. I used to go for 88-91 degrees, came out slightly bitter. Noticed the championship recipes all used around 79 degrees, gave it a shot, loved it.
well it's a fine grind coffee maker so i doubt that it makes that much of a difference

Thinking about buying an espresso maker?
i worked in a coffee shop for three years, and actually gave a damn about what i served the customers. i can make some pretty good coffee. i have a super hipster twin head machine the size of a small fridge at home, & have made vacuum, cold, aeropress, turkish, & just about every other type of coffee on the planet with autistic attention to detail
my favorite coffee is and always will be camp coffee made by percolator over the fire, with cream and sugar. get good at making coffee, so you can replicate whatever conditions you want, but dont act like we arent autists
extremely well caffeinated autists
There's nothing like a good French Press on a cold morning whilst reading.
Other personal favourite is a flat white at uni with the lads. We have a table in the sunny courtyard we always sit at in winter between lectures and exchange some banter. Pic related, good memories :^)
A well made Mocha beats anything.
Trouble is finding a well made one. I know a few local places though.

Black with a shot of whiskey
The best coffee I think I have ever had was from this place called 'Red Rocket' in toronto. I can't really describe it but it was really good. It wasn't bitter, but it wasn't too 'dark' tasting either... it was just really good and flavorful.

I like cowboy coffee made in a sock over the campfire. A percolator is wonderful but I don't always remember to bring it.

Don't cheap out and names don't mean shit.
