Are black beans supposed to be crunchy?
My gf is making quesadillas and says they only need to soak for 12 hours, then you boil them for 15 minutes.

I fucking know they're undercooked, she refuses to listen to me. Last time they were hard as fucking rocks and she insisted they were perfect. She literally just heated up soaked beans in tomato sauce.
That's long enough for soaking, but yeah, I cook beans at a low temperature for around 4 hours. Longer works too, but I like the texture best at around 4 hours.
