The worst part is that this is something close to a very good technique but she goes about it all wrong. She uses horrible ingredients and can't even cut an onion properly.

Actually if you do it properly it is a thing, a real italian thing and works very well. When basil is infused to oil it loses the bitterness and becomes very smooth.
