Honestly when I first saw the show I thought he was going to be a giant tool just based off looks but it turned out he was a pretty cool guy. Like the kind you want to go grab a few beers with and get to know.

He doesn't give away every secret. His book is pretty much 'how to get the similar results in your cheap smoker'. His place runs brisket at 300+ degrees which is more of a hot/fast approach due to demands.
