What is the best Italian Dessert for home cooking /ck/?
I'm leaning towards trying zuccotto
Anything better? Tiramisu? Florentines?
I am from Italy and I detest most of our desserts. We make good chocolates and sweets, though.
For cakes, I'd go with a Germanic country. All jokes aside, those fuckers know their way around an oven.
If I'm forced to pick an Italian one, Italian-style apple pie is pretty okay. Neapolitan zeppole/graffe are good, too. Most of the rest can go suck a shit.

Italians cannot into dessert, i'm not joking.

I thought of one, but not sure if it's ITALIAN Italian or Germanic. It's from Northeast Italy, where they speak Alemannic German. Pic related.
It's basically brioche-dough strudel with a lemon-cream, apple and pine nut filling. This one is fucking good.

And this is what it looks like after topping with pearl sugar and baking. To serve, you cut it into wedges, like a cake.

The desserts aren't great, so I'd say...
Limoncello.
Zuccotto isn't Italian. It's just a copy of that French dessert that's made in the same way slices of roulade
