Yeah, my bowl couldn't handle too many noodles. That was a bit disappointing. I just added more as I went along.

>>7149961
Noodles took 3 minutes to cook. The egg took 6 minutes and then sat in the chashu broth for 4 hours. The yolk was still liquid.

I did add soy sauce and burnt garlic mixture to the soup after the photo, though.

Yeah I realised too late while cooking that I ran out of tomatoes so I didn't use any. The colour is a bit off in the picture but the actual stew was more yellow than green.

It should be dark brown and a bit watery. How does it taste?

Here's another angle from before, it did taste quite nice, comparable to some stews I've tried in the past, the vegetables and chicken were soft and very easy to chew.

Beer as an appetizer, but I'll have some chili later. I made a nice batch a few days ago and want to use it up. I have these dill pickle chips that go great for dipping into that batch of chili, the flavors compliment each other.

Didn't see this thread for pics, but just finished a very later dinner.

Pan fried salmon fillet
Kale and mustard greens blanched with just a touch of soy sauce
Roasted tomato
Fresh toasted baguette

I need to work on my pan skills. I always end up using too much oil to stop things from sticking.
>>
>>7149940
Looks decent to me bro
>>
No pictures, sorry.

>preheat oven to 400
>brown some boneless chicken thighs in a pan
>julienne an onion and line a baking pan with it
>place the thighs on top of the onions
>douse in 1 cup of broth (didn't have chicken, so I had to use beef)
>sprinkle with paprika
>pop the whole thing into the oven for one hour
>take it out, strain the juices into the same pan
>boil it down to condense the flavor, stir in some sour cream and a tbsp of flour
>drizzle this gravy over the onions and chicken
>enjoy

It tasted splendid; mainly savory with just a hint of sweetness.

Marinate two inch thick pork chops in one cup of water and two or three shots of apple whiskey for thirty minutes.

Fill a medium pot or double boiler with one to two inches of salted water and a shot or two of the apple whiskey. Turn the covered pot on high.

Sift a cup or so of all purpose flour into a medium plate. Season the flour liberally with freshly milled pepper and sea salt.

Preheat a large cast iron skillet with a quarter cup of oil and one and a half ounces of butter until the butter is almost smoking.

Flour the pork chops on all sides. Salt and pepper one side of the flour coated pork chops and place that side down in the cast iron skillet. Season the side which is now facing up.

Sear all sides of the pork chops, three minutes on each face and half of a minute on the edges.

Turn the skillet down to medium or medium low. Whichever temperature you use to fry eggs. Continue cooking pork chops until 145°F.

Place washed French style green beans in steamer basket and place on the pot of salted water and whiskey. Steam for six minutes. Transfer to a steel bowl and coat in butter, sea salt, and freshly milled black pepper. Place bowl on the pot of water which is now off in place of the steamer basket, cover with lid until ready to serve.

Remove cooked pork from skillet AS SOON as it is cooked to temperature. Place on buttered and seasoned aluminum foil to rest.

Optionally: (recommended) fold aluminum into a water tight pouch with one end slightly opened, pour one shot of apple whiskey into pouch then tightly close the last end. Let rest for five minutes.

Plate with the green beans, a roll, and Apple jelly.
>>
Tortellini ala Carbonara with roasted veggies.
>>
>>7155309
Just noticed that my post wasn't clear when stating that you are cooking 2 (quantity) one inch thick pork chops.

Also, for the truly retarded, you will coat the pork chops in the salted and peppered flour which you sifted into the plate. This fact shouldn't need that clarification, but you never know.

Also, I do intentionally grind salt and pepper four times in this dish, thrice on the pork and once on the green beans. It really isn't too much, the pork is quite thick and can handle the seasoning.

If you use the apple whisky in the foil and successfully wait five minutes, the flavor of the apple comes through in just the right amount in my opinion. I really recommend it.

Italian here, expert in italian pizzas.

Italian pizza dough is high in idratation, around 80% (handmade in pizzeria)
One ball of doug for one pizza vary from 230 to 270g (it's big in diameter but very thin, the crust is high but is almost all air)
The sauce kcal is low even counting the oil
The cheese is mozzarella for pizza that is more dry than normal mozzarella so it have more kcal but the amount is around 50/60 g

So one of them have a kcal value that can vary from 800 to 1000

Been cooking for my whole life really, the Tortellini were not homemade, I used heavily salted pork belly, some onion, mushroom, a tomato, and garlic in the saute, pecorino cheese, two eggs plus one egg yolk, a shitton of black pepper, and two tablespoons of milk in the sauce. Garnished with nice italian parsley.

The ingredients were absolutely not traditional, but the method I used to combine everything was the traditional carbonara method with the hot pan helping emulsify the eggs with the melted cheese and the fat from the pork.

The veggies were simple roasted in the oven with salt, pepper, and fresh pressed garlic in separate foil bags. I used olive oil and a bit of pecorino on the zucchini and some bacon fat on the asparagus.

Nice and simple, but fucking delicious.
>>
>>7157061
To be completely fair, most Italian/Italian American pasta dishes are easy as fuck, minus the ones containing seafood. Some sauces just take more time than others. Making tortelini though, that can be tricky.

tortellini is deceptively simple, the hard part is just making the pasta, rest is brushing water to seal it and knowing how to fold it

it's just a reddish brown soup in a saucepan so i'm not gonna bother grabbing a picture.

chop and brown a couple red potatoes and a red onion for 10 minutes on high
add 2 cups of chicken broth (i used 1 cup broth and 1 cup yogurt whey cause i made greek yogurt and had it around) salt/pepper and simmer for 20 minutes
blend with immersion blender
stir in a quarter cup of cream and 2 tablespoons lemon juice

looks like a giant pot of shit but i think it's delicious
