Holy fuck. I just bought this for the first time, 9.5/10.
Ask me anything. Also pizza and Detroit cuisine general discussion.
Well? How does it bear up to other commercial pizzas?
I hear it's simply extra bread. I haven't had one in 10 years. Back then they loaded on extra sauce too. Are the complaints true? I'm debating between a Deep Dish or two Hot n Readys. Probably will go with the latter since I'm fucking getting drunk.
>>7182432
It's much better. The crust is the best part and reminds me of pizza huts deep dish long ago, before they went to shit. The crust sets it apart but also there is nothing wrong at all with the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. I find this perplexing since chain pizza sauce is either too sweet (papa Johns) or too salty (pizza hut). This sauce is neither, its tangy. The cheese has actual cheese flavor unlike some (dominos). The pepperoni is the same as everywhere. I don't know why it's so cheap and has a bad reputation, maybe it's because of the original crust. The deep dish blows out the competition though in price and quality.
>>7182445
They do get extra sauce and cheese, my biggest complaint is that no one makes them right so they end up flat and not airy. Fucking lazy shits not just flattening the dough by hand.
>>7182431
>Detroit cuisine
>>7182445
I don't think it's extra bread, its a different dough entirely it seems like. I haven't had little Caesars in years but I don't remember being particularly impressed by their thin crust. I'd get the deep dish, its almost as much food as two regulars and mine gave me a free 2 liter soda.
>>7182431
Why do people in Detroit refer to their casseroles as "pizza", and why is NY style thin crust so much better?
>>7182472
I didn't really want the soda but the guy had really awkward assburgers and insisted I take one. A really cringey conversation took place, I'm kind of a sperg too but he definitely had me beat. The whole ordeal was awkward

Jet's is the best chain.
>>7182631
Looks good familia, they don't have them here.
>>7182635
they're detroit based, a few in chicago opened up within the last year or two
>>7182642
I live in Denver and at least two have opened around here, it's ok
>>7182670
it's damn good for a chain. order the 8 corner pizza well done with turbo crust
>>7182674
also get the spicy pepperoni instead of the sausage or regular peperoni. the sausage kinda sucks

They had a promotion for the the 2 liter. The cashier was probably just a sperg and didn't communicate that.

>there is nothing wrong at all with the sauce
If anything, the sauce is the worst part of the pizza
I'm actually disgusted by it, but the only reason I know is because I figured I'd try it a couple times before I judged it
The only thing that is redeeming about Lil Cs is the cheese bread, they give you more cheesy bread in one serving than any other pizza chain
Pizza Chains average like 4 dollars for a couple sticks of cheesebread, LCs definitely puts out, but it could be cheaper
That's why I decided to game the system. LCs uses the same pans for the Deep Dish as they do the cheese bread, LCs cheesy bread (with pepperoni) is about 5 bucks, making that 10 for two orders. But their Deep Dish, which is just the cheese bread minus the seasonings with the sauce added, is 8 bucks, and it comes with Pepperoni
If you don't mind spending 3 bucks extra, you get a great deal for pepperoni cheese bread, 1 serving to eat and 1 to save
Well hot damn. Keep it coming Michigan bro, I don't know why I'm interested in your state but I am. I am Texas. Tell me about those pastys.

And this one's just down the road deep fried footlong coney dogs all day and night!!
As a Detroit native, I'm happy to see that our cusine being appreciated.
>>7182431
The bacon one was better in every way. SHAME on Little Ceasars for getting rid of it. I not going back until the bacon does.
>>7182455
i worked there. its the same dough.
>>7182455
what you may be tasting as different is the fact that the pans we cook the deep dough in is lined with fifty thousand lbs of garlic butter
>>7185343
Op here, I think that was it. The pizza tasted like it was deep fried in garlic butter lol. The crust was kind of greasy and probably deadly health wise but fuck it tasted so good.
>>7184250
I never got to try the bacon one or the pretzel crust, in my last city little Caesars was far away in the ghetto. Now I moved and live very close to one not in a ghetto.
>>7182431
Looks like just extra thick dough. Isn't deep dish supposed to be relatively thin crust but lots of sauce and toppings?
Has anyone been to Johnny Noodle King? I want to try it out. I always end up at green dot right around the corner
>>7185372
Detroit style deep dish, its a bit different compared to chicago style
>>7182994
What the fuck is broasted chicken, brosef? I saw a silly thread maybe a month ago about a place selling broasted chickens, I thought it was a joke.
>>7182431
Lil Caesars deep dish is pretty legit, night and day compared to the shit hot and ready they make
I live in detroit and I honestly thought half the shit in this thread was in every state
>>7185870
R U a nigga
>>7182981
just going to say that. why is everything in detroit made of cinder blocks?
i get that they're cheap and efficient, but surely these buildings existed before the economic bust?
>>7185372
Its not deep dish. But little ceasars, while I get it almost every week, is still fast food pizza.
Detroit style is a thick crust, burnt cheese on the edge, cheese on teh crust with toppings, then glops of sauce on the very top.
They make it like this to appeal to everyone nationwide.
Is the deep dish a better buy than 2 $5.00 pizza?
>>7182972
three hundred fucking dollars for dinner what the fuck
>>7185870
r u....
a
nigga?
>>7183002
why does this picture depress me so much?
>>7182635
We have em in Georgia, they're good. I used to not be able to get the deep dish because only me and my dad like it, and then I moved far away from any of them so I can't buy for myself.
Thoughts?
Not going to make a new thread for this, do I'll just ask here.
Why did this pizza turn a grey-ish color? Is it still safe to eat?
so its just deep bread what a rip off.

Chicken deep fried in a pressure cooker.
>>7186760
Falling Down Brewery has some good beers and decent food, (including a pulled pork poutine) they're just in a kinda crappy location and I think many people don't notice the place when driving past.

>>7182431
It is NOT that good. Too much bread, the burnt cheese is a abrasion hazard, bread is too soft, topping falls off the top because of poor sauce/cheese ratio and distribution.
>>7189490
Your local lil caesers might need to have their oven fixed.
>Detroit cuisine
check out Campau Tower in Hamtramck, get the cheeseburger combo. expensive but worth it
