If I see the same item in another store with decent reviews and actual pictures, im at peace with spending a dollars more. I also look at stores older than 1 year since they usually have more comprehensive feedback. Random/off topic but to anybody that has this issue with fake metal earrings irritating the skin This is what you do;
You take the cheap metal earrings and a clear nail polish.
You paint a light layer over the parts that touch inside your ears, let it dry maybe put a second coat if you missed any pieces of metal.
This makes a barrier between the metal and the skin and makes it so to avoid the irritation caused by the cheap metal reacting with sweat of the skin in the ear piercing holes so nobody has to suffer by missing out on cute earrings. I learn this one time from a friend on a trip and I never had to turn down pair of cheap earrings just because I knew I would get irritation ever again.
