Cosplays ranged from average to cardboard quality.

Being on your own and asking for photos can feel awkward (shouldn't though, 95% of cosplayers are there for a good time, feel happy that someone likes their costume enough to take a pic and wouldn't even notice you're not with anyone, let alone care)
If you're by yourself you can spend ages looking at the stuff you want for how long you want, you can actually try out the food stalls, you can queue up for an autograph from the shame nun without feeling embarassed.

This doesn't normally prevent you from taking photos of others as the other anon said and you could get your shopping done considerably quicker this way.

Only down side to Friday is that not all the stalls are set up and you are almost certain to find more stalls on Saturday.
Saturday is pretty much the peak day and for most people as they have no work, education, etc that they need to attend to.
Travel is the other factor why most leave late on Saturday or on Sunday.
Why doesn't the Excel centre get it's fucking act together and build a proper food court or a high-capacity diner? It's bad enough in the main hallway bit without queuing on both sides clogging things up. Having a proper area for people to chill out for an hour and get a meal would help ease off the crowds elsewhere too.
Earls Court was falling to bits and forced you to queue outside in the rain for shows but at least it knew the importance of this.

Was it just me? I was only there Saturday but I didn't see a single hint of an Overwatch costume no matter where I went. That honestly surprised me since I thought they'd be as common as Undertale cosplays (of which there were thousands).

It's a better manga than anime but it's my favourite shounen series regardless. Apparently Nakaba's stepped in for S2 so hopefully it'll be better.

I went with a Normie Harley (she didn't even really know who the character was) and someone else who did a suicide squad joker (who knew marginally more about the character at least).
Hundreds of Jokers dozens of Harleys (and not a single eye bleach one which was good) , very few Batmans (saw maybe 3-4 including batminion).
Surprised at how few Batman villains there were outside of those and mine.

I went to Comic-con today for the first time in years, and was happy to see there were more cosplayers than not.
So I have a question: If I want to take part and dress up for next time, yet have zero textile skills.. how do I create an outfit? are the people I can pay to do this for me? I know you can buy pre-made outfits but I worry about the quality..

There are tons of people that you can commission for a cosplay, but you may want to be wary about prices and queues and the like. I want to get good at outfit creating myself but I have no idea where to start. I can pick out fabrics and have an idea of what I want to make and how to go about doing it, but I feel so clumsy whenever I put it into practise and I just can't make it look how I wanted it to.
Were there any Terra Formars cosplays?
I was hoping to find a cockroach terraformar but had no luck. Guess it is not a appealing looking cosplay with all points considered.
Cosplay for other Terra Formars characters would have been good but couldn't find any either.

From what I can remember tickets rarely sell out– occasionally priority Saturday tickets are snapped up one-two weeks prior to the event. I usually purchase priority tickets to avoid the long queues. Get there before 10.30am to avoid waiting in line too long. The guests are usually nobodies (or Warwick Davis)– but that's not much different from London. I can't say much about the stalls, as I'm not interested in anime/manga. They look pretty generic? The games area is sometimes fun. You'll usually get talking to someone there. Terms of meeting new people, you can go about it the old fashioned way and compliment their cosplay/fashion, or however you communicate with people. Or you could check the Facebook page, and see if there's any meetups? I'm a lolita, so I usually just arrange to go to a meetup, or get chatting to random people. I hope that helps, anon!
